We had pacers for the half marathon in 2021 and will have pacers for both the half marathon and the marathon in 2022.
We do not provide refunds. You can transfer to a different race within the same year (ie marathon to half marathon, half marathon to 10k, etc), but must contact us before July 21st. If you move to a more expensive race you will need to pay the extra cost, no partial refunds will be given if you move to a lower race. You can also switch your registration to another runner prior to July 21st. A final option is to defer to a later year, but we need to be contacted by July 1 in order to defer. The Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is our host hotel. That is where packet pick up is and they offer a rate of $137.00 a night if you mention the race. They do not provide hotel shuttles for the race.
Three aid stations will have GU during the race (Mile 8, 15, and 20). Bananas, grapes, cookies, Creamies, Chick-fil-A and water are provided at the finish.
A chip is placed on the backside of your bib number. You do need to make sure you run across the mats and the starting and finish line to get a time. The chips are disposable.
Yes, we provide bags for the marathon and half marathon runners to put your personal things in. They will be dropped off at the Liberty Park just east of the medical tent. *Do not put anything of significant value in these bags, we are not responsible for any bags left after the race has ended.
Depending on what bus you take to the start will be the determining factor as to how long you are up there. It can be chilly up there, so take jackets and we have fires at the start of the marathon.
Water stations are at every other mile, starting at mile 3 of the marathon.

We will have an awards ceremony at the finish line for the top 3 finishers in each race. The awards ceremony will take place within 45 minutes of the finish of the race. The top 3 in each age division can pick up their medals at the awards table after the finish of the race when enough results are in to verify the winners.
No, to keep other runners safe police limits the traffic in the canyon.
Quite cool in the mountains but when you hit the valley expect an immediate and significant increase in temperature. Can vary in the valley from 70 to 85 degrees depending on your pace.
Buses are located on the East side of Liberty Park on 700 East.
*There is NO shuttle back to the 5K starting line, so make sure to make arrangements with family and friends to drive you back.
There are portable toilets at the start and finish line and at every aid station. You might want to go before you come to try and avoid long lines at the starting line.
The Days of '47 Parade starts at 9 a.m,, so you should miss most road closures. For the 10K and 5K you can take the 600 North exit to avoid most of Downtown. For marathon and half marathon you can only get to the start line by bus.
